End of an Era
$ 29.95
During the early years of The Business Broker newsletter, BBP founder, Tom West, featured a regular column called the “Old Pro.” Long-time readers of the newsletter know that the column was based on a real person. The thoughts were inspired by Tom’s 28-year association with G. R. “Russ” Wright, a man who introduced many to business brokerage, and whose own career spanned over 50 years.
The Old Pro died October 21, 1990 at 82 years of age. He had started in the business in 1935, working in his father’s office in Los Angeles. In this audio program, he tells about his introduction to the business, listing mistakes he helped associates remedy, creative marketing tips and more. Throughout the interviews Russ’s love for sales, his love for people, and his love for this business shines through.
With the passing of Russ Wright, an era has also passed, an era in which business brokerage was fun – and profitable, an era in which the sale of small businesses was the business.
The End of An Era introduces you to this time and this legend, exposing you to The Old Pro’s business advice and philosophy, and motivating you with his love of the business.
