Alliance Business Appraisal, LLC is owned by Toby Tatum, MBA. Mr. Tatum earned the accreditation Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) by the Institute of Business Appraisers in 1999.
In every profession, there are noted practitioners whose quality and competence stand out from the rest. In the field of business appraisal, these stand-outs are known by their designation as Certified Business Appraisers.
The CBA designation is awarded by the oldest business appraisal society in the nation—the Institute of Business Appraisers. Certified Business Appraisers are recognized by business leaders, educators, and the judiciary as a sign of excellence.
Becoming a Certified Business Appraiser is not easy—it’s not supposed to be. Rigorous standards, a challenging examination and extensive peer review are part of the process which applicants undergo to obtain the designation. The process can take over a year to complete and only one in seven applicants succeed in obtaining the CBA status each year.
Mr. Tatum is the second of only four individuals in Nevada who holds the highly coveted and very-difficulty-to-achieve CBA designation.
Toby Tatum is affiliated with The Russell Group in Sparks, Nevada. The Russell Group is a full-service real estate office but specializes in Business Brokerage. Mr. Tatum is the first person the Nevada Real Estate Division approved to teach the State’s mandated Business Broker Permit course. Taking this course and passing the State’s Business Broker Permit exam is required of all individuals who pursue business brokerage in Nevada. Mr. Tatum has provided this required training for approximately half of all licensed business brokers in Nevada.
